Welcome

Welcome to the home of Kevarni, also known as Kevin Sharp from Spalding in Lincolnshire, Digital Artist and IT Guru. I hope you enjoy your time here. There is lots of free content to look at from Digital Art, through to IT coding Videos and trips out.

An accomplished software engineer, consistently delivering complex and varied projects within a busy commercial environment to demanding time constraints.

Possessing formidable problem solving and analytical skills with a dogged and determined fault resolving approach, comfortable working within a team or individually.

With a passion for all things IT, i have 20 years commercial experience in different areas of the field from writing lines of code to setting up servers, repairing laptops and managing IT projects.

I started my path into IT around 2001-2002 when i wanted to know what makes a computer tick, i then went on to complete a HND in computing and doing a third year to turn this into a degree. I love making great software, being this front end or back, in a range of different technologies.

I've always had an interest in computers from an early age when i used to borrow books from my local library and making simple programs on an old amstrad PC using the language called basic. Fast forward 20 years and I'm a fully fledged Full Stack Software Engineer working on some very exciting projects from Data Warehousing through to mobile apps. I've learn't alot over the past 20 years. I've learnt from others and looked at different ways of doing things which I find amazing. Learning new skills and adapting new technologies whether that be SSIS or blazor i love learning  & love a challenge and applying knowledge learned to build fantastic systems including the CMS that powers this website. A home built solution packed full of features. With a Shop launching in the future to market my fantastic Digital Art.

I also have a passion for the space industry and the future of the human race. I love how everyone is different with their own little quirks it makes us very interesting. If everyone was the same life would be boring.

My journey of Digital Art started around 2020, having studied as a traditional artist many years ago i was keen to get into Digital Art. I had played about on different options over the years and my traditional art skills work well in a digitial landscape and love drawing digitally a slightly classic style with my own spin on my pieces which i have developed over the past 5 years or so and loving drawing all sorts of things from people, animals, through to my own creations with no reference material used. I enjoy challenging myself, and love working with a range of subject matters and different styles. Having recently being compared to Vincent Van Gogh in the work i do. To me this is fantastic and worth way more than winning the lottery. I guess those years spent doing traditional art during my GNVQ at the Sir John Gleed, Sixth Form, in Spalding, Lincolshire paid off. I had a fantastic arts teacher Mrs North. She challenged my art skills and I am so glad I did i believe my art skills have really improved.

Hobbies & Interests

I am also a sci fi fan and enjoy attending Comicon and Star Trek events, and have had the opportunity to meet cast members from the original Star trek series and Red Dwarf. Among many, celebrities, over the years, but its not just about meeting someone famous because they are famous but i love to get to know the person behind the famous side. Hatti, from Red Dwarf, visited my local comic con and, it was literally, like speaking to your mates mum. She was really good. I feel really privileged to have met so many different people.

I enjoy amateur dramatics and my latest role was the lead in the stage adaptation of The Lady Killers by Graham Lineham (as portrayed in the film by Sir Alec Guiness). I have also played a principal role in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, other supporting roles as well as back stage work. I decided to take a break from theatre to focus on other persuits. Whilst people think its a fantastic thing to get into, and I'm greatful for the shows i've been part of and the people i've met. It does require alot of work and spare time. Like i say i enjoyed my time doing it but wanted to focus on getting back into some hobbies i did years again mainly art & photography. So these days you will probably catch me out with my digital camera or happily sat at home with the 2-in-1 laptop out and digital stylus creating the next fantastic piece of art.

A keen DIY-er, I have made many improvements to my homes, and also been involved in the restoration of a local church building. Having tackled several projects over the years I love doing DIY. In recent times I have re-decorated my bedroom and it looks fantastic.

Other interests include golf, DJing, photography, movies, fishing, blogging, drawing, creating IT related content, music making and socialising with friends. I have a very likeable personsality and can speak to someone for the first time like i've known them for years. This is something i get from my nan. She, bless her, when she was alive was a great people person. I feel privileged to enjoy a wide range of interests and love being creative and helping people out where I can. I am a Christian and owe my strengths to God almighty, i believe he empowers me to do what I do and bring joy to people. I feel truly blessed. Whilst I may not be the richest of people financially I am rich in so many other ways and appreciate the smaller things in life.

I love experiencing new things, trying new food from different cultures, visiting new places and making new friends. My friends network has expanded over the years and I am so greatful that i have a diverse range of friends from different backgrounds. I learn so much from friends and its a joy to share my creative persuits with them.

To relax, I enjoy listening to music and catching a film at home or doing something creative. Being a keen music lover, and getting with the modern age, i have gone from an extensive CD collection to streaming via Spotify which is fantastic. I love a wide range of music and don't favour one artist over another. If the song has a good beat then im hooked. So this could be classical music through to trance / dance music.

On this site you will find lots of free content from Articles , Photos, Videos and Ted's Snake Hunt. Hope you enjoy them!
