As the weather is good today, and I had some spare time on my hands, I decided to head to Ayscoughfee Gardens Spalding for a walk around. This is my first walk of the year around such beautiful gardens and the best part is its free to walk round. Being that Ayscoughfee Gardens is a short walk from my home I decided to ditch the car and stretch my legs.

There are a couple of reasons why I like Ayscoughfee Gardens, is, one, beautiful gardens to walk round, and, two they have a cafe on site. Which I have previously been in. The cafe is really nice inside thanks to post covid renovations and has been made bigger inside. Price wise, not the cheapest, but the quality of the food sells it to me, they have a good menu and off lots of high quality food, the staff are really friendly in there and, if you don't fancy, using the toilets outside then the cafe have toilets inside which are more than ample for people who get in there.

Today it was fairly busy but peak summer time is when it gets really busy at Ayscoughfee Gardens, with lots to walk around, a war memorial, birds in cages, a pond, tennis courts and of course not forgetting Ayscoughfee Hall itself which is a free museum to go and look round. There is also free parking outside the gardens but this is a bit limited. The other thing, that i should mention, if you like your out door bowls, then, there is facilities for this within Ayscoughfee Gardens.

What I really like about Ayscoughfee Gardens is you are out in the fresh air, its good for your body and i feel a closer connection to God there. I have been to Ayscoughfee loads of times over the years, but when not feeling myself, i decide to take a walk down there and sit in the gardens followed by a visit to the birds i find this is good for my mental health and my mind generally.

Dog walkers are more than welcome and, I am sure, like a lot of people, they get a lot from Ayscoughfee.

Ayscoughfee is owned by the local council and is well maintained open most of the year for those people who fancy stretching their legs. The rumour goes if a stone ball falls off part of the wall in the gardens then the gardens and house go back to the Ayscoughfee family. I hope and pray this doesn't happen as i think, i, and a lot of people would be lost without the gardens. There is also plenty of seats to sit on and take in the view.

I've included some Photos of my walk today below. I hope you like them.
