Back before the rise of the shuttle family, Ted & Yoge were devout lovers and shared a couple of children together. But due to the lime light, Yoge, and their children went into hiding. The press tried to follow them everywhere but Ted ensured they would never be found. So he bought a private island in the Caribbean for them to live out their lives as farmers and only when the time was right would Yoge & their children make a return.
Spending many years on the private island, Yoges had plenty of time to think about where she come from, she had tried to track down information of her birth parents but kept drawing up a blank everytime. Half cat & half human creatures were very rare and Yoges knew that she would never truly be accepted with the cats or the human. She was a mixture of the two and the children she shared with Ted are a complete mixture of half cat, half human and half bear.
Yoge’s really did hope and pray she could find some answers as to where she come from.
The island that they live on is really good, they have everything provided and the staff, from butlers, through to chefs are sworn to secrecy. Ted knew that if the truth ever got out about Yoge and the children it would ruin his fame. The world just wasn't ready for half cat and half human.
Yoges would often read the children a bed time story helping them to fall asleep, bless them, they have nightmares, of the press hounding them. But their mother Yoge, tries to reassure them.
Yoges & Ted’s children, Burt being the oldest and Erni being the yougest. Have a keen taste for all things adventure, from fishing to climbing trees. They often sneak out after dark to go and play in the Jungle, but Yoge warns them not to as there are Monkeys on the other side of the island and they are up all night swinging from the trees, grooming each other, and mainly chilling out eating coconuts.
Yoges does her best to home school Burt & Erni in the mainstream subjects such as maths & english. Sometimes they get a bit lonely and its just the two of them. But most of the time they have each other to play with. Their favourite is football and they use rocks and monkeys as other players in the Games. The monkeys are used to Burt & Erni, and often help them catch fish. As the monkeys dive bomb into the sea scaring the fish into the net that Burt & Erni have put next to the fishing boat.
On managu island, as well as monkeys, there are lots of other creatures on the island, from bears through to snakes. Yoge warns Burt & Erni never to go to the north side of the island as its full of danger and anyone that goes there never returns. Of course, Burt & Erni being young naturally want to go and see whats up there. But they dared not disobey their mother other wise they will be grounded.
Yoges is a very strict, Christian mother and only wants the best for Burt & Erni, so that, for the day Burt & Erni are old enough they can leave the island and be with their father Ted Shuttle.
A couple of years pass and Burt and Erni and around 8 & 10. One day Burt & Erni are playing football near the north side of the island. They decide to play a game of football on the island. They both are really excited and really cheer each other on. Its Erni’s turn in goal and Burt takes a penalty. Just as Burt take the penalty he gets blinded by a flashing light and kicks the ball over the back of the net. It goes really far into the dense jungle of the north side of the island.
Both Burt & Erni look at each other afraid as they know they are not supposed to go to the north side of the island as Yoges had told them never to go. Burt can see the football just in the distance and there is a gap in the security fence. He decides to see if he can go and get the football. Erni, says don’t do it Burt, but Burt, is so sure, he can get the football.
Burt slowly makes his way through the security fence and dense jungle to try and get the ball. Erni still has sight of Burt. Burt slowly makes his way to where he can see the ball. Its resting on a tree branch. Burt decides to climb the tree to get the football, but its just out of reach, hes stretches with his paw & fingers trying to reach the ball, stretches a bit more, he is so close to grabbing the football. So he grabs what he thinks is some rope, but its actually a snake, a black snake with red eyes, it turns around and hisses at Burt. He looses his balance and falls off the tree, no where to be seen.
Erni, has seen Burt fall, Erni, reluctantly, tries to find Burt, but where, he should be on the ground he is no where to be seen. Erni gets scared, and starts to shout out Burts name, but hears nothing back. Not sure what to do, Erni, runs back through the opening in the security fence and runs all the way home.
Meanwhile, Yoges is back at home in the kitchen making Burt & Erni some tea ready for when they get it. On tonight's menu its salmon & honey. Whilst preparing the tea, she casts a glance towards the side board in the lounge to see a photo of her and Ted. She lovingly looks at the photo and remembers all the fond memories of times spent together.
Suddenly the kitchen door flies open and there stands Erni, shaking and in tears, covered in under growth from the Jungle. Yoges goes to comfort Erni and ask what happened and where is Burt. Erni is so scared to tell Yoges what happened as hes scared he might get hit over the head with a frying pan. Yoges is persistent like a school teacher and asks gently where is Burt.
Erni breaks down in tears and says that they were both playing football near the North side of the island and explained what happened. Yoges gets really worried about Burt for his safety as she has told both Burt & Erni many times not to venture into the north side of the island.
She reassures Erni they will get Burt back, Yoges gets kitted up with the essentials and both her and Erni head towards the helicopter and both get in. Yoges rushes both of them to get buckled up. Yoges starts the helicopters engines, and a warning light comes on the dashboard, Yoges frantically ignores the warning light and takes off in the helicopter with Erni on board. Yoges notices a storm brewing in the distance with thunder and lightening heading towards the north side of the island.
They are now approaching the north side of the island with the storm closing in fast, it starts to rain. Then Yoges notices the helicopter starts to loose altitude and the storm batters the helicopter. By this time Erni is very scared and holding onto his teddy bear and comfort blanket. The helicopter spins out of control heading towards a densely populated jungle area. The helicopter goes down.
About an hour later, Yoges still strapped into the helicopter which is hanging from a branch in a tree awakes, feeling very sore, she looks around and Erni is no where to be seen. His seat empty, she starts to get worried, and starts to shout out for Erni but no response. Yoges tries to get help on the radio but still no answer. She tries and tries again. She remembers she packed a kit should they get into an emergency, she reaches in and finds a fishing knife, the seatbelt is jammed, so she reaches in and grabs the fishing knife and cuts the seat belt but, doing so, crashes to the Jungle floor, thankfully, the tree branches break her fall. She lands on the jungle floor with some scraps and bruises but nothing serious. The emergency kits also falls to the jungle floor. She reaches in for a map and compass.
She continues to shout for Erni and nor can she see any trace of him getting out of the helicopter. Yoges composes herself, and looks at the map. She realises that there is an old radio out post and fishing port which has be abandoned for years no one has stepped foot there. It was closed off many years ago due to a chemical leak. Yoges knows she needs to be careful as the snakes in this side of the land are extremely dangerous. The black bodies and red eyes gives them a really bad reputation. Ted tried to capture some of these snakes and nearly lost his life a couple of times. So Yoges puts on her cat suit which is designed to hide her from the dangerous dragon cobra snakes.
Yoges, has been travelling for several hours by foot through dense jungle, the storm makes visibility difficult but she keeps heading north towards the radio out post and fishing port. The closer she gets she notices lighting on in the old radio out post. Yoges decides to act on the side of caution as she doesn’t know whats ahead. She grabs her binoculars and takes a look. The old radio output post and fishing port is heavily guarded by heavily armed men on patrol round the complex. Yoges is so worried about Burt & Erni and spots what looks like Erni being taken into the compound in a cage. Yoges is so tempted to shouting out to Erni but decides not to. The only way she knows how to rescue her children is to sneak in past the guards. Luckily there is some old communication cables running from where she is to the top of the radio tower. She rips off a bit of her cat suit, swings it over the communications cables and slowly makes her way into the compound towards an old ventilation shaft at the top of the radio tower. Being ereczic size 6 she knows she can squeeze into the tightest of places.
The closer she gets to the ventilation shaft she hears a recognisable voice, one she hadn’t heard for years. Not Burt or Erni, but of her father, Yoges father was a renowned Dr in medical science but disappeared years ago in a storm off the coast of the fishing port and never returned. He was presumed dead.
Suddenly Yoges gets flashes backs like she had been in the compound before, but as a child, like she knew the place inside and out. The only thing on her mind was to get Burt & Erni back. Yoges quietly sneaks into the ventilation shaft and heads along being careful not to disturb the armed men.
Yoges reaches for a torch out of her kit bag, she turns the torch on, and travels down the ventilation shaft until she reaches what looks like an office. Yoges reaches into her back for a Swiss army knife being careful not to alert the heavily armed men. She undoes the ventilation cover and starts to head down into the office but as she does she slips and falls onto the floor of the office. Some of the heavily armed men hear the sound and go to investigate. Yoges hides under the desk, the armed men, slowly open the door to the office and have a look around, they find nothing, they put it down to a crashing of thunder in the storm, they leave the office, and head back to the main area of the compound. Yoges breathes a sigh of relief. Yoges gets up and takes a look around, she notices pictures on the wall so she shines her torch, and her face goes as white as a sheep, as its of her as a baby & child being held by her father. She remembers her father but he looks a lot younger. She then turns around to see a filling cabinet and looking for clues she slowly opens the filling cabinet.
What she sees disturbs her, she sees lots of Photos of different half cat half humans as babies and children just like her. She continues to look through the filling cabinet and discovers more evidence of her as a baby & child as she didn’t know much about growing up apart from her father being at work a lot in the compound. Then she sees Photos taken of her, Burt, Erni and Ted together in public and Photos of Ted standing next to her father. At this point Yoges is exstremly confused as to what the bear she loves is doing with her father.
Yoges decides she needs answers as things don’t add up. Suddenly, she hears some heavily armed men approaching the office, with the voice of what sounds like her father, but she says it can’t be. She decides to quietly climb back into the ventilation shaft to listen, after quickly closes the filling cabinet up and turns off her torch. She places the ventilation cover back over the heavily armed men, someone that looks like her father and ted enter the room, wearing scientist jackets, the heavily armed men guard the door, the man that looks like her father Dr Micanos sits at the desk and Ted sits opposite.
Both Dr Micanos and Ted start talking and Yoges listens, but struggles to hear what Ted is saying due to the crying from Burt & Erni coming from another room, Yoges decides to quietly head on in the ventilation shaft to see if she can reach Burt & Erni. She travels down the ventilation shaft for what seems an hour, the cries get louder, Yoges approaches the source of the cries and peaks through Burt & Erni strapped and tied up to tables in the room with lots of scientific equipment around them.
She also notices lots of other half cat half human children also strapped and tied to tables in the room. At this point Yoges is really confused, she thought she was the only one, she is excited and scared and worried at the same time. She doesn’t know what to do, she says to herself to pull herself together shes got to rescue Burt & Erni. Yoges realises that if she can make a distraction to distract the heavily armed men she can get to Burt & Erni. She remembers further back down the ventilation shaft a room with lots of ammunition in it, if somehow she can use this to create a distraction then she can rescue Burt & Erni. She quietly heads back down the ventilation shaft towards this room, and undoes the cover and climbs into this new room. There is all sorts of ammunition in this room. She rigs up some dynamite to go off, not to blow up the whole building but just enough to create a distraction. She sets the timer for 2 minutes and gets back into the ventilation shaft and heads back to the room where Burt & Erni and the rest of the half cat half humans are and right on time the dynamite explodes. The heavily armed men, the scientists and everyone else evacuates the compound. Yoges lowers her self into the room and tells Burt & Erni and the other half cat half humans not to worry, she is going to get them all out of there, she starts to untie the straps and ropes holding them down. Yoges has a flash back, remembering her father telling her that if she was ever in trouble to use the old mining tunnels to escape to safety. Yoges remembers an old hatch under the floor of that room and lowers Burt & Erni into the other half cat half humans into the tunnel as tells them to head to safety and instructs Burt & Erni to take the other half cat half humans back to their home. Burt & erni, comply with Yoge. Yoges, intrigued by whats going on decides to hang back and tells Burt & Erni she will be right behind them.
With everyone evacuating the compound she decides to take a look around at the room. She notices a computer terminal left unlocked when the scientists left in the emergency. She starts to dig for clues and discovers that Dr Micanos as been trying to create a superior race by splicing cat and humans to raise them as soldiers to take over the world. But due to problems with the splicing technology most of the half cat half humans died not long after they were born. Yoges digs a bit deeper and notices that the reason most of the half cat half humans had died was due to a glitch with the merging of the DNA and that, they needed DNA from the very first half cat half human, that being Yoges. Ted realised from a very early stage to get Yoge and their children to the island was to make out that they were being hounded by the press so he setup fake press houndings to get Yoge, Burt & Erni to the island.
Angry at Ted & Dr Micanos, at how she had been lied to and to put an end to the half cat half human race knowing they were too dangerous for the outside world being superior in every way. Yoges heads back to the room with the ammunition in it and decides to ensure the burns the place to the ground. She rigs the whole compound with explosives for 5 minutes, she then heads down the same tunnels as Burt & Erni did and heads out of the compound to safety. Eventually catching up with Burt, Erni and the other half cat half humans, she knows their lives could be endangered. Yoges remembers and old boat not far away, she gathers together Burt, Erni and the other half cat half humans and they all get into the boat and sail away. They travel on the open ocean for days or what seems like weeks. They stumble upon another island completely deserted so decide to set up camp.
