- Springfields Model Railway Exhibit 2023 -

20231104_144751.jpg This event had been signed posted for some time, so i decided to go and check it out, with Dad and my mate Mel.

What can i say, well it was really good, the event was held at springfields event centre in spalding. Tickets cost £10, for which, Mel paid for all 3 of us, which was really good.

Parking was a bit tight as there were alot of people at the event and you could go out and back in again if you needed a break.

The event took place in the two main halls, with lots to look at even if you didn't fancy going along to pickup bits for a railway setup.

Its clear from some of the railway setups alot of work had gone into them to go them as good as they looked.

Thinking of going yourself, then no problem, entry process was really simple, there is a cafe on site and toilets, so plenty of faciltiies. I must say i've been to plenty of events at Springfields event centre and really impressed with the facilities.

I found it facinating talking to different people, about their railway setups and there are groups you can join, if you didn't fancy doing it yourself.

I must say my favourite railway, they were all really good, was a old style American railway from the gold rush era, as it was different to the rest. One guy i spoke to said the bridges had been made out of McDonalds coffee stirers and balsa wood.

The detail that had gone into the railways showed, even little details like working lights, people repairing the railways and if you did fancy picking up bits for your setup there were vendors selling railway related stuff.

Would i recommend this event to others, yes absouletly, was a brilliant thing to attend, it cost £30 (£10 per adult), but i could imagine for a whole family this might be quite expsensive.
