Would you believe it, the loveable bear, sooty, has been on the go for 75 years this weekend. So, when i heard that my local Shopping complex and festival gardens, Springfields, in Spalding was hosting a 75th Birthday Celebration for that loveable bear accompined by Sweep & Soo.
I decided it was worth checking out, its the first time i''ve seen a live Sooty show, but i grew up in the 80s watching him on TV. The live show was pretty much the same as the TV show but there was great audience interaction. What better way for sooty to bake a cake for his birthday, and receive presents from sweep and soo. All i can say is there was the usual antics going on, and with the help of a bit of magic, sooty got his birthday cake.
Lots of people turned out to the event a Springfields, which was free to watch, only cost £1 on parking, but was well worth it to see the loveable bear celebrating his birthday.
The sooty show is on all this bank holiday weekend in the festival Gardens at Springfields outlet Shopping centre in Spalding. So still plenty of time to see sooty and celebrate his birthday.
I also had the chance to get a cheeky selfy with the loveable bear.
